Represented at the UPU as one of the British Colonies of Australasia as British New Guinea from 1 October 1891; on 1 September 1906 renamed Papua; represented by the Commonwealth of Australia from 1 October 1907; in 1946 combined with Territory of New Guinea as Australian Trust Territory; 4 June 1976 member as independent Papua New Guinea.

Examples of the 1d and 1½d post cards have been seen cancelled 'PORT MORESBY 5 JAN 10'. Confirmation and illustrations needed and also of any other items of postal stationery cancelled to order.
