Note

Higgins & Gage identify two types of the imprinted ½d stamp as Type A (large triangles) and Type B (small triangles). They list both types as used on single cards and Types A + B, Types B + A, and Types B + B as used on reply cards (without Specimen handstamps).
  Quick and Jonkers identify two types of the imprinted ½d stamp as Plate A (large triangles) and Plate B (small triangles). They list both types as used on single cards and all four combinations as used on reply cards (both without and with Specimen handstamps).
  Samuel and Huggins refer to two types of the imprinted ½d stamp as Die II (larger triangles) and Die III (smaller triangles). They list Die III as used on single cards and Die III + Die II as used on reply cards (with Specimen handstamps).
