First issues of the Republic 1917 to 1925 Lion type on unwatermaked paper including unissued 2˝p grey and 75p orange, 1918 Vasa issue, 1919 and 1921 surcharges - 32 strips of 3 and two pairs - affixed to one complete archive sheet and 3 part sheets - cancelled 3-line SPÉCIMEN / COLLECTION / MAURITANIE - UNIQUE item from the Mauritania Post Office UPU specimen collection. The stamps included correspond to those listed in the relevant UPU Circulars of which I will provide copies to the buyer on request. This group disproves the statement in the FACIT and LAPE catalogues that stamps were distributed in sheetlets with 35 stamp-sized spaces and a single stamp impression in the centre.
